In this “Student Spotlight” edition, we are proud to introduce you to a Hull, MA native who represents the third member of his family to pursue a postgraduate year at Bridgton Academy, following in the footsteps of his father, Gary (Class of 1993), and brother, Justin (Class of 2017). Tyler Dunham ’20 is co-captain of this year’s hockey team.
What was your favorite part about the first semester at
Bridgton?
My favorite part of first semester was just getting used to the awesome Bridgton Academy community. My dad and brother went here and talked about the bond, but I really didn’t know what they were talking about until I got here.
What is one thing that has surprised you about your Bridgton Academy experience thus far?
One thing that surprised me was that it snowed in November and got cold really fast. Yes, it snows in Hull, but winter is a lot longer up here.
What are your goals for second semester?
My goals for the second semester are to earn As and Bs and stay on top of my work. I am trying to improve how I balance my academics and athletics; this is most important to me right now.
What are your plans following Commencement?
My plans after Commencement are to enjoy my summer and most likely play junior hockey for a year before going to play college hockey. Competing at the NCAA level is my end goal, and there is a lot of work to be done between now and then.
We wish you luck in your continued endeavors, Tyler, and stand ready to support you in achieving your goals””keep up the good work!
