May 9, 2017
Chris Webb, Bridgton Academy’s Chief Enrollment and Advancement Officer, has been named to the Board of Directors for the Independent Schools Association of Northern New England (ISANNE).
The 11 member ISANNE Board of Directors is the organization’s governing body. ISANNE, founded in the 1970’s, currently has a membership of 62 schools, which employ over 2700 teachers and serve over 22,000 students. All member schools are accredited by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges (NEASC).
“We are fortunate to have Chris Webb serve on the ISANNE board of directors,” said Laurie Hurd, Executive Director of ISANNE. “Our board includes heads and senior administrative leaders and Chris has been a long-time leader in the admissions affinity group. He has chaired the admissions conference for at least ten years and always looks for ways to bring quality professional development opportunities to our members. Chris is also an alum of the ISANNELEADS program. The board is looking forward to working with Chris when he joins the board in June.”
Among ISANNE’s members, there are 27 boarding schools, 16 day schools, and 19 town academies (many of which offer a boarding option). Schools range in size from 10 students to 3,300 students. The Association represents many internationally known schools as well as schools still in their infancy.
“I am incredibly humbled at the decision of the ISANNE Board of Directors to invite me to join them,” Said Mr. Webb, “I’m excited both on a personal and professional level to join the organization that is instrumental in supporting independent schools and the amazing professionals who work at them throughout the entire Northeast…and beyond.”
Chris is only the second non-Head of School to be elected to the 11 member Board of Directors. Including Chris, the board is currently comprised of 9 Heads of School, 1 Assistant Head of School for External Affairs, and one Chief Enrollment and Advancement Officer.
Bridgton Academy’s mission is to provide a program for young men in a unique, one-year postgraduate environment to prepare for the competitive rigors of college and beyond.
