Collin Krauth – Triple Threat Award Fall 2017
November 7, 2017
Collin Krauth has been named one of Bridgton Academy’s Triple Threat Award winners for Fall 2017.
Each quarter Bridgton Academy selects two to three athletes who have excelled; not only on the playing field, but also in the classroom and throughout the Bridgton Academy community. This award, appropriately named the “Triple Threat Award,†is something that Bridgton Academy student-athletes hold very dear; it is a high honor. One of the first recipients for the class of 2018 was a clear selection; Gales Ferry, Connecticut native and member of the football team, Collin Krauth.
Collin has led his team on and off the field. He has also overcome several injuries this season, including a bout of appendicitis requiring surgery on the eve of the first game of the season. Despite the hardships, he has persevered to become the rock of the Wolverine defense.
His story is slightly different from the “typical” Wolverine – at this point last fall, Collin was enrolled at Central Connecticut State University; and it wasn’t working for him. He needed a change of direction, and through his friend Justin Carter (Bridgton Academy Class of 2017), Collin met with Bridgton Academy’s admissions counselors and got the ball rolling for his admittance into the Bridgton Class of 2018.
