BRIDGTON ACADEMY WELCOMES NEW TRUSTEES

David Colella ’72 and Tom Hall ’85 named to Bridgton Academy Board of Trustees

NORTH BRIDGTON, ME

Bridgton Academy is pleased to welcome David Colella ”˜72 and Tom Hall ”˜85 to the Bridgton Academy Board of Trustees. The two Bridgton Academy graduates have been elected following the retirement of longtime board member Carol Hamblet, and the completion Chris Osburn ”˜00’s term.

David Colella attended Bridgton Academy for both his Junior and Senior years of high school, graduating in 1972, and matriculating at the University of Massachusetts. Since 1992, David has served as the Vice President and Directing Manager at The Colonnade Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts, and under his leadership, the hotel has undergone huge renovations and experienced great success.

David holds a number of diverse and varied professional affiliations, including Chairman of the Greater Boston Convention Visitors Bureau, and Vice President of the Massachusetts Restaurant Association. He has also served on the boards of the University of Massachusetts Department of Hospitality and Hotel Management, First Night Boston, and SKAL Club International – Boston. In 2008, he was named the Massachusetts Restaurant Association Restaurateur of the Year and was also recently inducted into the Massachusetts Lodging Association’s Hall of Fame.

Tom Hall, Bridgton Academy Class of 1985, is the Executive Director of Brown Urology in Providence, Rhode Island, where he is responsible for the effective day-to-day operation of the largest urology practice in Rhode Island, consisting of seventeen MD’s and sixty employees across four locations within the state. A graduate of Keene State College, Hall brings a wide range of professional skills to the board, as well as a lifetime of community involvement and coaching experience.

Bridgton Academy welcomes its newest members of the Board of Trustees as the board continues to steward Bridgton Academy through its third century of operation, recently celebrating its 210th Commencement Exercises on May 5. The Class of 2019 begins the year on August 25, 2018.

Bridgton Academy’s mission is to provide a program for young men in a unique, one-year postgraduate environment to prepare for the competitive rigors of college and beyond.
