Bridgton Academy Alumni Share Powerful Dialogue

January 22, 2021

On this Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Bridgton Academy was proud to host a panel of alumni to share their thoughts and perspectives on pressing societal issues. Bridgton Academy Hall of Fame member Benjamin Davis ’63, Hall of Fame member Carlos Canino ’84, and alumnus Jadyn Coutte ’18 joined us for a dynamic evening Zoom hosted by Mr. Travis Dube, Dean of Studies.

Each alumnus was recently featured in the fall edition of Bridgton Academy Today and was asked to touch on their own Bridgton story before engaging in questions posed by Mr. Dube and the Bridgton community. Issues of race, equality, and social justice were the focus of much of the conversation. Additionally, discussion focused on law enforcement and its relationship to social justice was also explored. Bridgton was honored to host these three gentlemen for this event. Their perspective, candor, and thoughtful commentary made for a thought-provoking and educational discussion of great benefit to our Academy.
